WHAT DO I NEED FOR CAMP?

Each camper NEEDS basketball, non-black-soled athletic shoes, and a water bottle.   All day campers need to bring a lunch, and campers who are at camp during the morning hours should bring a snack.

HoopStar 2010 

(Girls Only, Ages 10-15)

HoopStar Camp returns to Georgetown Visitation this year as one of the premiere girls' basketball programs in the DC area.  Enroll individually or sign up as a team (groups of five or more receive a 15% discount - see details below*).

In addition to focusing on fundamentals, our coaches will improve campers' team play, game strategy, and conditioning.  Instuction is tailored to the level of the players, and the emphasis is on skill development while having fun.  Call our office for program specifics.

 

2010 Summer Camp:
Georgetown - Georgetown Visitation
  • Two One-Week Sessions
  • June 21-June 25 (Coach Priester will not direct this week.)
  • June 28-July 2 
  • 12:00 - 3:00 pm only
  • If you want to split the day with one of our other programs at Visitation, call our office for details regarding: tennis, soccer, or lacrosse, each depending on availability.

*Groups of five or more must contact our office and request brochures or download and fill out our printed brochure.  To receive the group discount, the name of the pre-approved group must be written clearly in the registration area of the brochure.  Payment may only be submitted by check.  This offer cannot be combined with other discounts.

 

Meet the Directors:HoopStar

Fred Priester, director of HoopStar Camp at Georgetown Visitation, has been a head girls’ high school basketball coach in northern Virginia for 26 years, 10 at McLean High School and 16 at Oakton High School. He has over 500 career wins, along with 12 district championships, four regional championships, and five trips to the AAA Final Four. In addition, he has been head coach of the Vogues AAU 16 and under team for 24 years and has directed high school camps for 25 years. In 2009, he was The Washington Post All-Met coach of the year and AAA Virginia state coach of the year. He has been president of the Northern Virginia Women’s Basketball Coaches Association for 25 years.
