WHAT DO I NEED FOR HOCKEY CAMP?

All FieldHockeyStar campers NEED shinguards and a mouthguard.  Turf shoes are recommended for play on the turf, but we strongly recommend each child brings sneakers for conditioning work and in the event of a rain day.

If you would like to sign-up, you can do so online by clicking on the  St. Andrew's link in the top-left column of this page.  Alternatively, you can call (301) 530-5472, and we would be glad to help you.

Gina Grubb has been coaching field hockey in Montgomery County for 13 years. She began her coaching career as the JV Coach at Churchill HS in 1997 and in 2000 was named Varsity Coach at Poolesville HS.  In her ten years as the PHS Varsity Coach she has coached her team to 7 Region Championships, three Maryland State Finalist titles, and one State Championship. As a coach she has prepared and sent over a dozen athletes to play at the collegiate level at many schools including Old Dominion University, American University, Virginia Wesleyan, Catholic University, St. Mary’s College of Maryland, Indiana University of PA, Bridgewater College, Limestone College, and University of Mary Washington.  She is currently the Assistant Athletic Director, JV Softball Coach and a PE teacher at Poolesville High School. She also coached for the Jackals during the winter 07-08 season.

Jennifer Saber was on the 2005 state semi-finalist field hockey team at Churchill High School, competed on the Capitol Pegasus Club Team, and trained in the Futures Program.  She went on to play for four years at Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA, made the Centennial Conference Honor Roll all four years, and earned a degree in International Business and French with Magna Cum Laude honors.  Jennifer played field hockey for Team USA in the Pan-American Macabbi Games in 2008 in Argentina.  She has previously coached at Champions of Tomorrow programs.
